The last few days have went like this...

Friday was the 'Birth Matters Heartland' meeting in Kindersley. There was a really good turnout and a few new faces. Kindersley is very lucky to have a woman that is willing to give up two hours of her time for free once a month...and she is going to be an AMAZING midwife : ) I'm not even kidding. Three women shared their stories of having a doula for their births, including my client from February. It was really neat to hear about the birth from her point of view. Saturday, Connor and I were still at Eileen's place and went into Kindersley to check out a trade show and had a play date with another lady from the birth group and her two kids.

Sunday the whole family went to town and picked up a few groceries. Then in the afternoon I made three batches of cookies and some old fashioned lemonade...yummy! I think I will cut back on the sugar a bit next time though, or add more water...or both. Monday Ray went back to Medicine Hat to finish getting his rig ready and I played with the boys and cleaned the house. Today I made some Hungarian goulash for supper and some carrot muffins but have spent the majority of the day looking at homeschooling curriculum and I think I have figured out which ones I want to use. I love the Waldorf style curriculum and I have preschool to grade eight downloaded. What I have already gives a good base but I will also be using the Oak Meadow curriculum as long as our school district accepts the credits for high school that they offer. I don't see it being a problem though as Oak Meadow has a very good reputation. I think I will be rounding it out with Little Acorn, which looks like it has very fun programs! There are a few more places that offer distance curriculum that I have to look at, but for the most part I am impressed with the ones I have listed. I would like to find a Canadian Waldorf style curriculum, but so far no luck.
