Work has been going really well. I love the hours, the boys don't really have any problems getting up in the morning and I am getting in a good workout in the first couple hours at work putting away the fruits and veggies that come on the pallets. :D I am working from 7-3 this coming week to cover a coworkers holiday and I am also having turkey supper at our house the Thanksgiving weekend. Should be a packed week!!
Colin is enrolled in Karate again this year. He goes on Monday's and this time I made sure that I found the Karate instructor that I was looking for last year. He is loving it and listens much better. It helps that Sensei Bryan is much better at teaching little ones than last years Sensei's were. Both boys are doing gymnastics on Wednesday nights as well. Connor and I are in the Parent and Tot class and then Colin takes a Preschool version right after. It is lots of fun, Connor is a natural on the balance beam and loved learning how to do a backflip with me the other night. Colin's favorite so far is the mini trampoline : ). I think we will be doing Swimming lessons again for them both in January when Gymnastics is over. It will be Colin's first time in the pool without mom or dad, could prove interesting.
I am seeing a big improvement with my health and also Connor's in the last little while. I have been starting to use as little gluten and dairy as I can in what we eat. I cut out refined sugars a long time ago. That along with other holistic, natural supplements have really helped us get on a good start with our respective health issues. Colin has always been really healthy and had no real issues right from the start. I am hoping that we can avoid most of the colds and problems that we had last winter...extra challenging this year as we are all out in the public areas so much more than last year.
I am following the advice of a holistic nutritionist and have started incorporating things like Chia seeds, Flax and natural sweeteners instead of sugars in the families diet. Ray is not quite following along yet unless it is a supper meal, or a treat that I have baked ; ). I am still using Gluten free flours here and there, but have decided to stick with an organic, whole wheat/grain flour for the majority of my baking. I have also increased my water intake during the day although I haven't gotten that habit down pat quite yet.
Ray has been busier lately, and is getting some good recognition for his work and work habits with Essential(about time someone realized how well he works :D). The flush by trucks are starting to get called out almost every day again and the consultants have been very impressed with the professionalism and work ethic shown. I have a feeling they will be busy busy again this winter.
Well, that's about it for now. I had forgotten that I can make posts from my phone to this blog. It is much easier to post about an interesting moment or day when it happens with a spare second and my phone than have to sit down and open the laptop...I don't sit very long at all these days...lol.
