Canada Day parade and the Fair!

We went in on Canada Day for the parade, which was lots of fun just like usual :D. After that we went and had some lunch before going out to the fair grounds. We wandered around for a while and went to have a look in the stockade before hitting some of the rides. I couldn't get over how full the stockade was with vendors and people wandering!! The spring trade show has never had as many vendors as what the fair did this year. Barb brought up a good point when we saw her later on though...that's what the fair is like when it falls on Canada Day. LOTS of people come out ;^). Once it got to be close to supper time we decided to head back into town and get a bite to eat before dropping my mom off. We were planning on going to the fireworks display but the band that was scheduled to play the grandstand was late getting there and started playing their show late. We waited about half an hour after the fireworks were supposed to start and got fed up so we went home. : ( Oh well...there is always next year!!
