I have been thinking about getting the boys something to learn a second language for a while. I finally found the program that I like the best the other day. Little Pim Foreign Language Learning for Young Children is the program we decided to go with. It is a mix of animation and real life video and looks really well done so far. I was able to download a digital version to my computer, so we could get started right away.
I have to admit, I am excited to learn the language right along with them ;D. We watched the first video the other day, Colin was repeating most of the words with me and Connor was starting to say some of them as well. The research that I have done indicates that the best time for young children to learn a second language is between the ages of five and ten. Once they get older we will switch to a program from Rosetta Stone. They are more extensive and are geared for the slightly older ages.
